KatRisk now offers a hosted version of our SpatialKat 3.0 software in the cloud. It works exactly like the deployed version, looks exactly the same (with some added download buttons), and runs with the same with industry leading speed through our 50k years of simulations.
You first upload your exposure:
You then pick a setting or create one. Here, we started to create a new one. Choose the perils (wind, inland flood, storm surge, or any combination), the hazard type (Stochastic, Historical, Single Event, or Exposed Limit), the number of samples (2 to 1000), an event filter (e.g. just hurricane flood events), select Demand Surge (correlated between perils), and select your output options.
Then, submit your run to the job queue, wait for the run to finish (it is fast), and look at overview results from the analysis. If you want, download the results.
SpatialKat has an efficient execution engine in C++ with a GUI written in R/Shiny. Data formats are easy to understand (csv and binary) and can be transformed into any format users want. Whether you kick off an analysis in the GUI (local or cloud), from a notebook, from an API, or from the command line is based on your operational preference. This hosted cloud solution is a simple way to test our software and get model results.
