Overview

KatRisk* supported Volante, a newly established Lloyd’s syndicate, in building a market-leading pricing and exposure management capability using the Orchestra platform. Rather than developing systems in-house, Volante adopted a proven, scalable solution to establish efficient, data-driven underwriting operations from day one.

The Challenge

As a new entrant to the Lloyd’s market, Volante faced a critical strategic decision: whether to build proprietary pricing infrastructure internally or adopt an existing solution.

Building in-house would require significant time, investment, and operational risk. At the same time, any solution needed to support underwriting teams effectively, handle complex datasets, and scale with the business as it grew.
